Reach Africa Foundation was established in 2002 to support and empower Africans living in Africa and the Netherlands. It is a non-profit, non-racial, and non-discriminatory organization with a strong community network. The foundation focuses on engaging with Africa and the African Diaspora in the Netherlands. The organization was born out of the need to support and empower poor and disadvantaged Africans living in the Netherlands. Over time, it has expanded to provide support in rural and urban areas of Africa, mainly through economic enfranchisement and education.
We have made concerted efforts to reach out to the 200,000 Africans living in the Netherlands. Through a participatory approach, we have established working relationships with several community-based associations from countries such as Algeria, Angola, Burkina Faso, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Cameroon, Congo, and Burundi. In the Netherlands, we are working to create partnerships with donor agencies and government institutions to raise financial and material resources that support projects aimed at improving the lives of under-educated, marginalized, and disadvantaged migrants.
In Africa, we focus on projects that will enable the less-privileged to improve their living conditions and become self-reliant. We cooperate with local communities to understand and assess their needs, offering support as they work to raise the standards of living in their regions. After many years of organizing and sensitizing diaspora groups and communities, Reach Africa Foundation now intends to build on its strengths and help assemble a loosely federated collaboration of African associations and organizations in both the Netherlands and Africa. We believe that by working together, we can become greater than the sum of our parts.
Board has reconfirmed the Foundations’ vision and a set of values has emerged. To achieve its Goal the Foundation will pursue a strategy of continuous fundraising in order to be consistent with their desire to offer help to others. The assistance of the Foundation will be project-based and will be aimed at helping those individuals or organisations with a similar vision to its’ own. Our organization is practising the highest degree of transparency and accountability.

Support integration and unity among Africans and African communities in all nations, creating opportunities for all.
Create a core of African professionals who will take active part in the preparation and writing of the African policy paper for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, ensuring the policy document reflects objective reality for meaningful change in Africa.
Provide material, financial, skills, knowledge, and technologies for running and managing a modern animal farming project aimed at empowering rural, less-privileged women.
Create sustainable, group-based self-help animal farming activities for the production of high-quality food.
Facilitate an increase in the income of women and significantly improve their living conditions across Africa.
Ensure that Reach Africa Foundation finds and support individuals and organizations with similar goals as its own and offer assistance on Pan-African projects and integration issues.
Educate African and African descendants in other to stimulate others to improve. Provide information to all communities on Pan-African issues. Create opportunities for individuals and communities in other to empower them to take action that are parallel to the Foundations Mission. Establish a good working relationship with other local and international NGOs.
